Improving Concentration and Focus

Let’s face it, sometimes we have to face some tasks that we are not exactly thrilled about. Our mind wanders and we find ourselves having trouble focusing and concentrating on the task. If you think an upcoming task is going to be terribly boring, then you have lost the fight already. It's about immediately changing the perspective and finding something engaging within the task.

Tips on Improving Concentration and Focus

If you're sitting at your desk, struggling to concentrate, there are some simple things you can do to focus.
Start with focusing on mental silence. Simply go to a quiet area and take your mind to a quiet place.

One way is is to ask yourself, "where is my attention?" and that quite often helps you bring your attention back.

The second thing is to focus on the absolute present moment, and you find that two things occur:

-First, when you focus on the present moment there is no cluttered thinking activity.

-Second, it enables you to bring your attention to the present situation rather then having your mind wander into the future or the past.
Concentration can be generally improved by avoiding thinking too far ahead.

Runners, for example, can have their concentration broken by thinking “ I have to win this competition” or “I am winning this easily” and then there is a letdown at the end of the race. They don't allow themselves to stay in the moment and execute what they need to do in order to ensure the outcome happens.

Taking breaks from tasks is also an important factor for good concentration.
You don't have unlimited endurance psychologically any more than you do physically.
And if a particular task is not engaging, it doesn't help to think about how bored you are.

Can Foods or Supplements Help with Focus and Concentration?

There is mounting evidence that iron deficiencies can negatively impact concentration levels.
There's evidence for other nutrients on concentration and attention span - two that spring to mind would be vitamin B12 and Omega-3 fatty acids.
Foods that are good sources of those nutrients include lean red meat, chicken and fish. Eating as naturally and healthy as possible, and keeping your body well hydrated will certainly not hurt your ability to focus and concentrate.

Fatigue can play a part in your ability to concentrate and focus. If we are mentally and/or physically tired, we just cannot concentrate sometimes like we need to. Supplements like AddieUP can assist in the our need to be alert and energized, which in turn can help with focus and concentration. AddieUP may be the focus and concentration of the future, as it combines both stimulants and nootropics. Arguably more subtle then stimulants, nootropics have shown immense promise in cognitive enhancement and performance. Try AddieUP today and see for yourself why so many people are talking about this focus and concentration aid.

Need More Energy?

Wonder where all of your precious energy has gone?  Fatigue and lack of energy are among the most common complaints heard today.  There are some simple, dietary changes that can help recharge your energy in addition to taking AddieUP.  Here are some dietary strategies for just saying no to fatigue:

1. Be sure to have some high quality protein at each meal.

The digestion of protein gives rise to a prolonged and sustained blood glucose level which translates to a steady and robust energy level. My top picks for energizing proteins are omega 3 fortified eggs, beans, fish, poultry, nuts, low-fat dairy products, and whole soy foods.

2.Indulge in a small portion (1/2 to 1 ounce) of high quality dark chocolate.

This wonderful treat provides just the right amount of natural sugar to jump-start dwindling energy levels and is loaded with some of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet.  These antioxidant enhance blood flow which provides an additional energy boost.

3. Beans.

(not those greasy refried beans though!) Many consider beans nature’s most perfect energy-boosting food.  They are a rich source of the body’s preferred fuel – glucose – that’s released steadily over a long period of time, which  translates to immediate, but sustained energy).  Beans are full of several B vitamins and minerals that play a key role in energy production at the cellular level.

Energy boosting foods can make a difference in your day-to-day life.  So many of us suffer from chronic exhaustion and fatigue.  If you have tried everything and still haven't found the right energy booster, AddieUP focus and energy supplement may be your answer.

Here are 3 more energy tips to help you along.

◦ 1.Don't go hungry.  Real hunger signifies low blood sugar levels, which means your brain and muscles will be deprived of the precious fuel they require to operate properly.  Consume 3 meals a day with snacks between as necessary to keep  hunger at bay.  This will provide a steady blood glucose level, which equates  to steady energy levels.
◦ 2.Strictly avoid trans fats (processed foods containing hydrogenated oils, stick margarine, many fried foods) and minimize saturated fats (red meat, butter, whole dairy products).  Both trans fats and saturated fats are energy busters because they impair blood flow.  Decreased blood flow translates to decreased energy.
◦ 3. Avoid the products which are white, meaning– white flour products, white rice, white potatoes, and white sugar.  These “whites” are quickly digested, high glycemic carbs give rise to a flash flood of glucose in your arteries that is  followed by a corresponding sharp and rapid drop in blood glucose levels.   Your brain and muscles simply can’t function when blood glucose falls too low.  Choose whole grains  or fresh fruit to avoid the blood glucose ups and downs attributed to white flour, sugar, potatoes, and rice. Take care of your body, and it will take care of you. Of course, AddieUP can assist you as well and is the supplement of choice for energy seekers who need a boost.
